central australia I

Before I get lazy to document this down.. The first 'omg' thing that happened even before the trip was that we conveniently thought 28th June was on Monday. It was only during the briefing when the man mentioned about what time should we meet on Sunday, that it struck us.. OH, WE GOT OUR DAYS MIXED UP.

Sunday - Woke up early, packed up any last minute stuff that was left behind, wore many, many layers, and off we left for uni. Realised there weren't any trams, so we took a cab down. Lack of sleep, obviously, but made for that loss in the bus. More than enough. Saw one of the nicest star-filled sky ever. So, so beautiful, I could gush about it for hours. By the way, this was when we were still in the bus. I woke up, looked out of the window, and saw it.

10 more km to Alice Springs.

Arrived and set up our tents.

Feeding the rock wallabies.

Wild kangaroos at the Telegraph station.

White-aboriginal boys that used to live at the station.

the control room of RFDS.

our first desert sunset.

Somewhere at Ormiston Gorge

love love love jumping shots.

.. And halfway through I got lazy. The next few days to be continued.
