The full set.

This was what I made for QQ and myself during the recent Aidil Adha celebrations.

Top fabric: Songket
Skirt fabric: Satin

Designing and sewing is seriously an addiction. My mind can't stop thinking about the next projects and endless possibilities of design be it for myself and for my friends. I just completed a top for a friend and will be embarking on a new one soon.

Withdrawals!

Pinterest blocked me from pinning. Can you believe it? I thought things would be settled once I do a re-login but no. Instead I got an error message which states, "Exceeded rate limit" or something like that. I am so upset. I googled to find out more on what the error is about and turns out it is some security function to identify spammers. I'm amused by the fact that I am considered to be one. Well, I guess this comes from the fact that I have been moving a lot of my previous pins to a newly created board, that's why!

Sigh. Now I've got to wait 24 hours for things to get back to normal. It feels like forever.

In other news, today felt like a sketching + designing day and I hope to actually produce the final masterpiece one fine day.

Purple songket.

The purple songket. Only thing that's left now is to complete the bottom half. I am still contemplating on the design. I already have a couple in mind but have yet to confirm on one.

I feel so excited now that whatever that is being envisioned is being materialized. I don't have to rely so much on my Aunt anymore! Next up will be Ain's top, my first proper order :)

Tablecloth.

Here's a top which I made recently. This Syawal, I did not wear tailor or wear anything new for that matter since we decided to recycle a couple of outfits. So I am making one for the upcoming Eid-Adha. This shall be named tablecloth - coined by QQ. The patterns made it look like one but I assure you it's just cotton.

I edited my paper patter several times just to get the perfect fit and be fully satisfied. I used to not really like drafting but honestly the satisfaction of drafting something from scratch and then sew it up is just.. Will be working on the same design but on songket this time. Stay tuned :)
