So life has officially started to get really busy and I feel back on track. The past weekend I was involved in a 3-day make-up course which I had learnt so much from. Initially I was feeling rather lazy to go and almost did not turn up for it, but I am glad I dragged my feet to the classes which start at 9AM for the consecutive 2 days.
Thanks to the awesome trainer, Madaline, I was able to learn so much about the basics of not only make-up but skin care as well. Who knew the importance of the various types such as non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, organic, preservatives-based, mineral-based, of which I could remember. Probably I should start investing in non-comedogenic ones since the area around my nose are prone to comedones.
The most interesting thing which I learnt was how we can determine our skin tone by looking at the colour of our veins on our wrist! Green depicts a Warm tone, Blueish/Purple depicts a Cool tone and a mixture of both depicts a Neutral tone which I just discovered that I fall under that category. Had a few other discoveries about myself as well, such as I am actually more of a Square face rather than a Round one. I have long thought I had a Round face due to my chubby cheeks. Another crucial thing, which led to the most important discovery of all - with my huge (and almost bulging eyes), I shouldn't be doing a cat eye effect when applying on eyeliner. Smoky eye effect works best, of course.
