Third.

I've been so busy the past three weeks and there was hardly time for a break! At the same time, I was having a lot of fun learning new and interesting things in the industry which I have always wanted to embark on. During the first week, we learnt about the different types of textiles and how to identify them. I am definitely more aware of my favourite fabric - Chiffon and Satin which can come in many different types of material.

On the second week, we learnt sewing. It was really a tough week for me as I had no experience in sewing at all and within three days, we learnt how to complete sewing a basic t-shirt and shorts. Honestly, I was the slowest among the class and was really lagging behind but thankfully, I had S to help me out. On the third day, I finally completed the full set which I later realised looked like a Korean jimjilbang's outfit!

With C, my classmate :)

My mom's old sewing machine which is finally fixed, thanks to my uncle. With more practice, I hope to be more natural with this and make it my best friend.
This week we learnt all about identifying stitches, seams and patterns. I had to cut up a pair of shorts from Zara (which is not mine! it's the school's. Thank God!).

The shirt that we sewed for our practical assessment. It's easier to sew this time round as the machine at TH was slower as compared to the ones in CP! And also probably because it was a smaller size tee (kids!) and it did not take us a long time to do so.

Introduction to Production Sketches starts tomorrow and I am really excited for this module!
